The Digital Signal Processing Group (DSPG) is affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Victoria.

The group consists of faculty and students working in many fundamental and applied areas of DSP such as digital filter design, adaptive filtering, digital audio, image reconstruction, image/video compression, DSP applications in communications, optimization techniques, genomic signal processing, and others.

The group has state-of-the-art research facilities located in the Engineering Laboratory Wing.

In addition to the research conducted, a variety of undergraduate and graduate level courses are offered. Some of the course subjects are fundamentals of digital signal processing, design of digital filters, image processing, optimization techniques, wavelets and their applications, video coding and random signals.
